It was this comet that could be seen in the sky above Omsk and its region in april 1997. It looked just like this as you see in the photo taken by Serge Gorsky, a student from Omsk physics and mathematics secondary school. This photo is performed on the film Kodak-1600 with the aid of Russian camera ZenithE-MTO-1000. The time of exposure was 3 minutes. It was a great pageantry for Omsk inhabitants because they could watch with their own eyes the celebrated Hail-Bopp comet that comes so rarely to our universe.
