At the banks of a quiet taiga
river Osha that flows in the north of the Omsk region has taken
origin an enterprise predestined to become one of the largest
holding companies not only in Siberia but also in all Russia. The
first entity, partnership OSHA, was set up in may 1991 in Tara,
north of Omsk. It was busy in poultry and cattle breeding. In 1992
OSHA leases 1650 hectares of land from the district centre Russkaya
Poliana, Omsk region and establishes the subsidiary "Niva" for
growing cereals. In 1995 a vodka distillery was built up. Soon it
became evident that only the in-the-house made spirits of wine can
ensure output of high quality product and reduce its production
cost. So it was decided to erect an alcohol factory which plan was
successfully realised within the period of 11.1995 to 12.1996.
Simultaneously a network of house outlets was organised for selling
foodstuffs. In 1997 a new supermarket, one of the largest in Omsk,
started operation after two years of building. This object lent
still more attractiveness to the company in the customers' eyes. At
the same time the Association of Trade & Industry Enterprises
was set up to manage palnts, factories and sales business. In 1998,
7 months after commencement of construction works, a factory for
production of canned aerated soft and semi-alcoholic drinks was put
into action. In early 1999 two more enterprises, Meat foodstuff
corporation and Beer brewing company started their activities.
