E.V. Mel`nikov graduated from the Mechanics-Mathematical Department of the Novosibirsk State University in 1978.

His basic scientific interests are concentrated on functional analysis, in paticular: the abstract
Cauchy problem, semigroup of operators and semigroup-distributions in locally convex spaces.
