   Marina L. Berzhnova was born 16 july 1964. She graduated the history faculty in Omsk State University in 1986. Marina has been working in OmSU since 1991: at the beginning she was a scientific employee, since 1993. - she has been a teacher of the chair of ethnography .  In 1999 she was elected by the assistant professor of the chair.

    From 1991 to 1996 she had been submiting a thesis for a doctor's degree on the chair of ethnography.  In 1997 she protected a candidate's thesis "Ткани и одежда из них у русских юга Западно-Сибирской равнины в последней трети XIX - начала XX вв." in the Institute of arheology and ethnography Siberian branch Russian Akademy of Science (Novosibirsk).

    The field of her science interests is traditional culture and ethnic history of russian Siberian.

    Marina is the author more than 40 scientific works. The most important from them are:
