Born 6.04.1957 in city Omsk in family of the workers.

J.A.Sorokin graduated the historical faculty of Tomsk State University in 1980.

Juriy A. Sorokin defended his Ph.D.'s dissertation in 1977. The subject of his dissertation - " The Russian emperor Pavel I "(Scientific advisor the professor Govorkov)

Juriy A. Sorokin has been working  in Omsk State University science 1980.

In a 1992 Sorokin has become the associate professor.
